SUNDAY APRIL 22 @ 4PM, The Roman Forum, 11 Carmine St. Apt. 2C, New York, NY 10014 Church History Lecture “Liberal Regalism and ‘the Catholic Party’:1831-1846” followed by a cocktail party to mark the half century anniversary of the Roman Forum. Free will donation will be collected at the door. Professor Dietrich von Hildebrand created the Roman Forum to defend Humanae vitae against assaults coming from both inside and outside the Church, but has since undertaken a defense of the dogmatic, liturgical, devotional, and socio-political heritage of Catholicism in general. The Roman Forum normally celebrates its anniversary in the Easter Season, as close as possible to April 21st, the traditional Birthday of Rome. This allows us to recognize our commitment to Classical as well as to Catholic Culture. Unfortunately, space is rather limited, and we will need to know how many persons might be interested in attending before making our final plans. If a large number of individuals wish to come, we may have to consider making other arrangements outside our normal location. That, however, would be more costly. PLEASE RSVP to John C. Rao, Chairman, at drjcrao at aol dot com BY FRIDAY MARCH 23rd, and you will be informed thereafter as to the final venue. Meanwhile, our Gardone fundraising campaign still continues. We have managed to collect $5,000 more since the day of our “final” appeal. Alas, we still need at least $20,000 to make the Summer Symposium with its seventeen speakers and eighteen scholarship candidates function properly. In consequence, a final “final appeal” is now in order. http://www.romanforum.org
